# Check Python installation using the command prompt

You can check if the Python installation is correctly working using the command prompt.

1. In Windows, open the command prompt.
2. Type the command to execute the script.
For example, use "python" and the complete path of the script `demo_opensim_python_version.py`, then press Enter (see the below example).
