# Open Inventor

Open Inventor®, by [Thermofisher Scientific](https://www.thermofisher.com/nl/en/home/electron-microscopy/products/software-em-3d-vis/3d-visualization-analysis-software.html), is the object-oriented, cross-platform, 3D graphic toolkit used to render data in the Petrel 2D and 3D windows.
